Lazarus Group Ties to $30M in Hyperliquid Transactions Uncovered
The North Korean state-affiliated hacker collective Lazarus Group has been linked to $30 million in digital asset transactions through the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid.
According to blockchain data shared by Arkham analyst Emmett Gallic, Lazarus-tagged wallets sent funds to Hyperliquid and HyperUnit via Bitcoin (BTC), trading them into Ether (ETH) or Solana (SOL).
The transferred assets were then bridged out to Tron, Solana, or the Ethereum network.
This activity occurred weeks after US President Donald Trump announced that CFTC Chair Michael Selig was working on a regulatory pathway for Hyperliquid's introduction into US markets.
