LCX Exchange Expands into US Market with New Trading Venue and Token Upgrade
LCX Exchange, a European-based cryptocurrency exchange, has taken its first steps into the US market. On July 27, 2026, LCX announced that it had opened a waitlist for LCX Exchange USA, a new trading venue designed specifically for American users.
The waitlist is free and requires only an email address, with members joining a state-by-state rollout and receiving updates on when the exchange will go live. LCX has outlined what US customers can expect at launch, including identity verification in minutes rather than days, customer assets stored in cold storage, and published trading fees without hidden spreads.
LCX also rolled out LCX Token 2.0, a 1:1 token migration that converts existing tokens to the new format. The upgrade is available on Coinbase, with balances automatically converting at no cost or fee during a three-day window from July 27 to 29.
The LCX token will now span three networks: Ethereum, Base, and Liberty Chain. Holders can upgrade their tokens and stake once Liberty Chain goes live. LCX has signaled future governance features for the token, which serves as the fuel of the LCX ecosystem.
