LCX Opens Bitcoin and Ethereum Perpetual Futures to US Institutions
LCX Exchange has made its Bitcoin and Ethereum perpetual futures available to US institutions. This marks an important milestone for institutional investors in the US, who can now access these derivatives markets.
The move follows LCX's application for authorization as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA (EU 2023/1114), which is currently being reviewed by the Financial Market Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein. However, it is essential to note that LCX AG is not currently authorized under MiCA and does not offer crypto-asset services to persons in the EEA pending authorization.
Crypto-assets involve significant risks, including total loss, according to LCX. The company emphasizes this point to ensure investors are aware of these potential risks before participating in the markets.
