Ledger has pushed back against claims of a security flaw in its Ethereum app, calling the concerns 'manufacturing fear for attention.'

The controversy arose when a security researcher called TestMachine publicly disclosed a vulnerability that could cause users to sign something different from what they saw on Ledger's screen.

However, Ledger's CTO Charles Guillemet clarified that the issue was fixed and deployed two weeks ago, in Ethereum app version 1.22.2 on August 12th.

Ledger had already discovered the issue using its Donjon security team and AI-powered tools before TestMachine reached out to their bounty program after the fix was shipped.
