Ledger Unveils Wireless Nano X Cryptocurrency Wallet
Ledger has unveiled its latest hardware cryptocurrency wallet, the Nano X. The device boasts several upgrades over its predecessor, the Nano S, including Bluetooth connectivity and a larger screen.
The new wallet will allow users to connect with their computer wirelessly via Bluetooth, making it easier to send and receive cryptocurrencies on-the-go using the Ledger Live Mobile app.
According to Ledger CEO Eric Larchevêque, the private keys stored on the Nano X remain secure even when connected via Bluetooth. He stated that 'The private keys don't leave the device, whether you connect via Bluetooth or via USB cable.'
The Nano X will retain its ability to charge and function via USB, ensuring seamless compatibility with existing hardware.
With a price tag of $119 (shipping included), the Ledger Nano X is set to launch in March 2019. Pre-orders begin on January 7th, while the Ledger Live mobile app will be available for download from the App Store and Google Play on January 28.
