Ledger Wallet Still Down After Cosmos Hub Recovery
Cosmos users have been affected by an ongoing outage on Ledger Wallet, which has prevented them from viewing their ATOM balances and transaction history since September 8. The company's status page still lists Cosmos (ATOM) as a major outage four days after the incident began.
Ledger opened the incident at 19:41 CEST on September 8 and has not disclosed a cause or estimated restoration time. As of press time, its latest update stated that restoration work was continuing and affected features remained unavailable.
It's worth noting that Cosmos Hub recovered before Ledger Wallet access was restored. QuickNode reported that the network stalled at block 32,878,318 at 18:12 UTC on September 8 but had returned to the chain tip by 14:26 UTC on September 9 and marked its incident resolved at 00:24 UTC on September 12.
Although Cosmos Hub is now producing blocks again, users may still see missing balances or history in Ledger Wallet because the wallet interface can remain unavailable even after network nodes have caught up. Ledger has not specified which part of its service path is responsible for the outage.
