Lee Sees $6,000 Ethereum by Year-End If Bitcoin Hits $150,000
Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat and chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), says Ethereum's price could reach $6,000 by year-end if Bitcoin hits $150,000. He bases this prediction on the Ethereum-to-Bitcoin ratio reaching 0.04, which would be a significant increase from its current level.
Lee notes that the current ratio is around 0.03 and could rise to 0.04 by year-end. This would put Ether's price at about $6,000 with Bitcoin trading at $150,000. He calls this prediction 'very conservative', as he believes the ratio should be higher than its previous high of nearly 0.08 in the 2021 cycle.
The Ethereum-to-Bitcoin ratio is driven by tokenization and agentic AI, which are expected to fuel growth in the crypto market. Lee says that traditional payment rails were built for human-to-human transactions and are not equipped to support agent activity, which will drive demand for crypto rails or separate monetary systems.
The CLARITY Act remains a key catalyst for the crypto market, with Lee saying it could pass in September. While its passage would be beneficial, he believes that Ethereum's price will 'do fine either way' if it doesn't pass.
