Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee believes that recent cryptocurrency exchange shutdowns may signal an upcoming market bottom. Lee pointed out on X that 'these things happen at the bottom of a cycle,' referring to the recent industry turmoil.

The comments come after BitMart, one of the world's largest exchanges by trading volume, announced it would be winding down its trading platform. Additionally, cryptocurrency giant BitMEX has confirmed plans to cease operations later this year.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) also weighed in on the situation, stating that acquiring smaller centralized exchanges is more challenging than purchasing most other businesses due to potential security risks.
