Lee Sees Ethereum Surpass Bitcoin Value with Tokenization and AI
Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat, is predicting a rise in Ethereum's value against Bitcoin. He believes that tokenization and agentic AI will contribute to Ether's growth, stating it will become like the US dollar, valuable due to its widespread use by developers, applications, and liquidity.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies, where Lee serves as chairperson of the board, recently purchased 28,086 ETH, bringing their total holdings to 5.929 million tokens, or approximately 4.9% of Ethereum's supply.
The firm aims to reach 5% of the total supply, a milestone that Lee referred to as 'the Alchemy of 5%'. They project $330 million in annual staking revenue at a 2.61% seven-day yield, with around 85% of their holdings staked through Bitmine's MAVAN platform and partners.
Lee hopes for four catalysts by the end of the year: passage of the CLARITY Act, sidelined capital returning, Asian investors rotating into crypto, and institutions chasing performance. If Bitcoin hits $150,000 and the ETH/BTC ratio rises to 0.04, he sees Ether priced at $6,000.
