Lee Sets Sights High: Ethereum Could Hit $6,000 by Year-End if Bitcoin Breaks Through $150,000
Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee has set his sights high for Ethereum's price by year-end, predicting it could hit $6,000 if certain conditions are met. To reach this target, Bitcoin must first break through $150,000, a significant gain from its current price of around $78,600. This would represent a roughly 91% increase in just four months.
The Ethereum-to-Bitcoin ratio (ETH/BTC) is also expected to rise from approximately 0.03 to 0.04 by year-end, which Lee believes will happen due to several catalysts. These include the potential passage of the CLARITY Act, short positions and sidelined capital returning to crypto markets once the four-year Bitcoin halving cycle clears in October, capital reallocation out of Asia into digital assets, and institutional investors chasing performance into year-end if Ethereum keeps outperforming other assets.
Lee's argument is based on past bull market cycles, where the ETH/BTC ratio has climbed significantly. He believes a conservative estimate for this ratio by year-end would be 0.04, which would enable Ethereum to reach $6,000.
