Tom Lee from Fundstrat acknowledged that quantum computers could pose a threat to internet encryption, known as 'Q-Day', but believes it won't be an issue for Ethereum and Solana. These networks are developing quantum resistance, which should mitigate this risk.

However, Bitcoin's situation is more concerning. The potential problem lies in the fact that private keys could be derived from exposed public keys in just 9 minutes, allowing unauthorized access to funds. Lee stated that 'it’s probably not gonna be a problem' for Ethereum and Solana but for Bitcoin they ‘haven’t come to a consensus on how to prevent Q-Day.'

Jameson Lopp estimates there's over a 50% chance it'll take at least another decade before a quantum computer emerges that could pose a threat to Bitcoin. This suggests that the issue might not be imminent.
