Legacy Asset Manager NYLIM Goes Onchain with Tokenized Fund
New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) is overhauling its asset management infrastructure to include blockchain technology. The firm, which manages assets worth between $807 billion and $838 billion as of January 1, 2026, has launched a tokenized fund and plans to integrate RedStone's Settle service into the fund on September 1, 2026.
The NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio, also known as HYB, is built in partnership with Centrifuge, a protocol that specializes in structured credit and real-world asset pools. The tokenized fund allows investors to subscribe and redeem using USDC, the Circle-issued stablecoin.
The integration of RedStone's Settle service aims to enable onchain exits in approximately 300 milliseconds, which is significantly faster than traditional mutual funds. This move addresses one of the persistent objections institutional investors raise about tokenized funds: liquidity risk.
NYLIM's Head of Digital Assets Strategy, Elizabeth Yenko, and Thomas Sy, Head of Multi-Asset Solutions, will present their firm's efforts at the RWA Summit in Brooklyn on September 1-2, 2026. The summit has designated NYLIM as an Innovator Partner.
