LG Teams with NVIDIA to Drive Next-Gen Robotics Innovation
LG Electronics has formed a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to accelerate AI-powered robotics development. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding on August 13, focusing on physical AI-driven robotics for commercial markets.
The agreement centers around LG's Data Factory facility in Seoul, which is expected to accommodate hundreds of robots by the end of this year. By 2025, the facility aims to produce 100,000 hours of training data through both physical and simulated approaches.
NVIDIA's Omniverse, Cosmos, and Isaac technology platforms will support LG's Robot Foundation Model development. The company plans to integrate its production and supply chain data with NVIDIA's complete robotics technology suite.
