Crypto startups have seen a significant shift in funding this year, with all $11.2 billion raised going to licensed and regulation-eligible companies, according to an analysis by Dubai-based law firm NeosLegal.

This marks a departure from earlier market cycles, where unregulated projects often attracted venture capital, NeosLegal founder Irina Heaver noted.

Compliance has become a key competitive edge, with investors prioritizing regulatory standing as a risk metric. 'The key competitive edge is no longer being unlicensed but securing licenses in the right jurisdictions,' Heaver said.
