Lido DAO's Record-Breaking Upgrade Sends LDO Soaring 9%

Lido DAO's largest core protocol upgrade since V2 has sent its governance token LDO surging 9%.

The upgrade bundles Curated Module v2 and Community Staking Module v3, which consolidate over 8 million staked ETH worth about $16 billion into new large validators.

This consolidation is expected to reduce Ethereum's total validator count by about one third and attestation messages by roughly 29 percent per epoch, easing load on the consensus layer.

The upgrade tightens economic accountability for Lido's node operators and cements Lido's centrality in ETH staking, both of which are bullish narratives tied directly to LDO.
