Lido Price Slump: TVL Holds Steady Amid Market Volatility
Lido's token, LDO, has experienced a significant decline in value, dropping by 9% on August 1. This loss comes after the asset had closed July with over 30% gains.
The decrease in price is a topic of debate among market analysts, with some wondering if it reflects a structural shift or simply a reflection of the broader bearish sentiment in the crypto market.
To gauge the market's outlook, on-chain inputs were examined. One key metric is the protocol's Total Value Locked (TVL), which measures the health of a protocol through deposits locked on-chain.
Lido's TVL fell by $414 million over the past day to $17.573 billion. However, despite this decline, dominance remains strong, and the recent dip fits the structure seen across the last 30 days. The market has recorded roughly $3.247 billion in total inflows over this period, with an average daily inflow of about $104.74 million.
This suggests that inflows could resume, which would be a positive sign for LDO's long-term outlook.
