Lighter Surges on Robinhood Integration News and Reward Pool Hype
The price of Lighter (LIT) surged by 3.35% in just 12 hours, largely driven by news of its integration with Robinhood Wallet.
A recent analyst thread highlighted the deal, which is a 50/50 revenue-share agreement that will last for 12 years. This has refreshed the core narrative around Lighter and positioned it favorably against competitors like Hyperliquid.
The integration also brings with it a points/rewards program, where users of Robinhood Wallet can earn twice as many points as those on the standard Lighter web app. The fixed reward pool is 11 million LIT, which some are calling an 'airdrop' equivalent due to LIT's recent price hike above $5.
In addition to these developments, several data-driven posts have emphasized Lighter's operating metrics and token economics. The protocol has seen significant growth in TVL (around the hundreds of millions), open interest ($1 billion), 24-hour perps volume (in the low billions), and 30-day volume (in the tens of billions). Protocol revenue over the last 30 days stands at around $3.7M-$3.8M, with fees used to buy back LIT from the market.
