Lindell Falls Short in Minnesota Gubernatorial Primary

Mike Lindell, founder of MyPillow and a close ally of former President Donald Trump, lost the Republican nomination for Minnesota governor on Tuesday. He secured 32.3% of the vote, coming in second behind Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth.

Lindell's defeat adds him to a growing list of GOP candidates who have failed to win their primaries despite being backed by Trump.

Kendall Qualls, a former healthcare executive and longtime supporter of the Minnesota GOP, placed third with 21.4% of the vote.

On the Democratic side, Sen. Amy Klobuchar comfortably secured her party's nomination, winning 89.6% of the votes in the primary election.
