Lindell Refuses to Concede in Minnesota Gubernatorial Primary

Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow and a prominent election denier, has refused to concede in Minnesota's Republican gubernatorial primary despite being trailing behind Speaker of the House Lisa Demuth. With over 43% of the vote, Demuth was declared the winner by The Associated Press just before midnight on Tuesday. However, Lindell alleges irregularity in voting totals and claims there are still 265,000 votes left to count.

Lindell's campaign has been closely tied to that of former President Donald Trump, who endorsed him despite both being eliminated from the state GOP endorsement process. The Republican Party had opted to endorse Kendall Qualls, a businessman and Army veteran, at their convention in May. Demuth remained competitive in the race and ultimately secured the win.

Demuth now heads to the general election in November where she is expected to face Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar. Lindell's refusal to concede comes as no surprise given his history of denying the results of the 2020 presidential election, which he vocally contested along with Trump.
