Linea Build Doubles Down on DeFi Incentives with Major ETH Staking Allocation Increase
Linea Build, a zkEVM Layer 2 network developed by ConsenSys, has significantly boosted its incentives for DeFi users. The company has increased the bridged ETH staking allocation on Ethereum's beacon chain from 10% to 60%. This means that more funds will be redirected into ecosystem incentives rather than being paid out directly to users.
The remaining 40% of ETH is kept liquid for withdrawals, ensuring user access. Users can withdraw their funds at any time, with unstaked ETH given priority over staked assets. According to Linea Build's strategy, this move marks a shift from testing to live deployment.
A series of security audits and a bug bounty program are in place to support the protocol's safety. Despite the increased incentives for DeFi users, user yields or new tokens will remain unchanged. This decision is intended to strengthen Linea Build's ecosystem offerings without directly impacting user payouts.
