Linea Filters Out Half Million Potentially Fraudulent Sybil Addresses

Linea, an Ethereum layer-2 network operational since July 2023, has identified and filtered out over half a million potentially fraudulent Sybil addresses from its upcoming token airdrop.

The collaboration with blockchain analytics firm Nansen flagged approximately 516,960 out of 1,297,203 eligible addresses as potentially Sybil behavior, reducing the number of valid addresses to 780,243.

Linea has established a dedicated webpage for users to check if their addresses have been marked as Sybil. Those who believe an error occurred can submit an appeal.
