Liquid Network Breach: 4,000 BTC Vanish from Federation Wallet
Liquid Network suffered a major security incident when nearly 4000 BTC worth $320M exited its Federation wallet, leaving around 207 BTC or 5% of prior reserves intact. The attacker posted an on-chain message declaring whitehat intentions and inviting contact.
The Liquid team has not verified any ethical-hacker status and immediately halted the sidechain pending review of its BTC peg-out system.
With Bitcoin trading at $79,667.78 inside the Bollinger Bands, price tests upper resistance at $81,143.31 while the 50-EMA at $79,021.07 and 200-EMA at $73,564.7 continue to anchor the bullish structure.
