Liquid Network Hacked for $320M as 4,000 BTC Vanish

A significant security breach has occurred on Blockstream's Liquid Network, resulting in the loss of approximately 4,000 BTC ($79,475.00 · Live), worth around $320 million.

The attack happened on Sunday afternoon and saw an unknown individual utilize a peg-out request to drain funds from the federation wallet.

According to Mempool.space, an authorized entity within the Liquid Network, 11 of the 15 keys signed the transaction, despite the fact that the tokens used for redemption were invalid.
