Liquid Network Halted Following Massive 4,000 BTC Withdrawal
The Liquid Network has been temporarily halted due to a significant withdrawal of approximately 4,000 BTC by actors claiming to be 'white-hat' security researchers.
The incident occurred on September 6, when the federation wallet was drained of assets worth around 4,000 BTC.
As a result, exchanges have suspended deposits and withdrawals for LBTC, which represents Bitcoin on the Liquid network.
Bridge nodes have been temporarily disabled, preventing new transactions from being submitted to the network.
