Liquid Network Recovers Most Stolen Funds, but 598 Bitcoin Still Missing
A security incident on the Liquid Network led to the withdrawal of around 4,000 BTC. Following network patches, nearly 3,400 BTC has been returned by the alleged white-hat hackers.
The remaining 598 BTC is still with the hackers, who had warned that they would only return the funds after the issue was fixed and all nodes were patched. Blockstream confirmed that the affected bridge nodes have been updated, but the network remains paused as further fixes are carried out.
Liquid's technical provider, Blockstream, and the Liquid Federation have been working to resolve the situation and ensure the return of assets. The teams remain focused on hardening the network and preparing it for a coordinated restart.
