Lisk Chain Shutdown Forces Urgent Migration to Ethereum
Lisk Chain is shutting down on October 31st, and users holding LSK tokens must bridge their funds to Ethereum before then. This forced migration will take around 11 days in total, with an initial withdrawal period of approximately 8 days, followed by a 3-day waiting period for unstaking. Those who start the process late may face timing constraints as funds within the 8-day or 3-day windows may not complete their transfer before the chain stops.
According to Lisk's announcement, stakers can now unlock their staked LSK without any penalty. However, this migration is a hard cutoff, and holders who start the process late will be impacted by this timing constraint.
The only route for balances held on Lisk Chain is bridging to Ethereum, which may lead to repositioning and exit pressure in the token as the shutdown approaches.
