Lite Strategy Completes Stock Buyback Program Using Mix of LTC Sales and Covered-Call Premiums
Nasdaq-listed company Lite Strategy has completed its stock buyback program using an undisclosed mix of Litecoin (LTC) sales and covered-call premiums. Between January 1 and July 17, the company repurchased approximately 4.9 million shares for around $5.4 million.
The transaction reduced Lite Strategy's reported Litecoin holdings by about 11.89%, but lifted LTC backing per outstanding common share by roughly 1.7%. As of July 17, the company held approximately 819,070 LTC and had 31,882,648 outstanding common shares.
Lite Strategy funded its purchases without using debt, instead relying on a combination of digital-asset sale proceeds and covered-call premiums. The company's issuer-defined discount to Litecoin net asset value narrowed below 25% during the repurchase period, but could widen again, potentially making further accretion challenging.
