Litecoin Price at Overbought Level, Pullback Expected Before Next Move
The price of Litecoin (LTC) has reached an overbought level at $52. This is a high-probability setup for a near-term pullback to $49.28 before the real test at $55.
The momentum has flatlined, with the MACD histogram printing exactly zero. The Bollinger upper band was punched through, but this is not accumulation, it's distribution dressed up as a rally. When price is stretched beyond the 200-day SMA and immediately loses momentum above that breakout level, it's a warning sign.
The market needs oxygen, which typically comes in the form of a pullback to the nearest demand zone. This pattern is exactly how false breakouts are manufactured, a sharp momentum spike followed by immediate overbought exhaustion.
Short-term longs who bought the break of the 200-day at $50.72 are sitting on unrealized gains and have every incentive to trim into that level. The strong resistance at $58.13 is the bull case destination, but it requires a base-build first, not a straight-line run from an already overbought print.
