Litecoin has seen significant price growth after reaching a record number of active addresses and increased DeFi participation. The cryptocurrency surged 6.27% in a week marked by substantial on-chain activity, with nearly nine million active addresses recorded. This increase is attributed to the LitVM smart contract upgrade approaching and growing wrapped Litecoin reserves.
The trading volume has also seen a significant spike, rising approximately 74% above its monthly average. The price of LTC/USD has moved decisively above major moving averages, indicating bullish momentum across short-, medium-, and longer-term trends.
