Litecoin's Exhaustion Wears Thin: $44.53 Support Test Looms
Litecoin's (LTC) technical chart is showing signs of exhaustion, according to Iris Coleman in her recent analysis. At $45.18, LTC is sitting below every meaningful short-term average: the 7-day SMA at $46.45, the 20-day at $45.92, EMA 12 at $46.20, and EMA 26 at $45.76.
The MACD histogram has hit zero, which Coleman describes as 'exhaustion,' rather than neutrality. The engine has stalled, and with price below all short-term moving averages on thin volume, the base case targets a $44.53 test within 72 hours, with a 60% probability.
Coleman notes that LTC's positioning is one-sided, with retail traders at 72.9% net long and top-tier traders at 77.6% long. This could lead to cascade liquidations if the key level breaks, but informed players are not panicking, which argues for a floor.
The Bollinger Band setup agrees, with price grinding toward the lower half of the band ($43.57 lower band, $48.26 upper), while the ATR at $1.49 tells us this isn't a volatility event yet. It's a slow bleed.
