London Stock Exchange Teams with Payward for Tokenized UK Stocks

Share

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has partnered with Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to bring tokenized UK stocks to its platform. This move will allow investors in over 110 countries to access some of the UK's largest public companies 24/7.

xStocks, a tokenized-equity platform, has already processed over $40 billion in total transaction volume, including nearly $20 billion settled on-chain across more than 200,000 holders. The platform currently spans over 700 tokenized equities and ETFs, with assets transferable across multiple blockchain networks.

The partnership will also allow selected xStocks to be used as collateral for futures and margin positions among eligible users. Looking ahead, the LSE plans to list xStocks on its LSE 24 platform in 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
