Long-Term Bitcoin Holders Accumulate Record Amount of BTC Amid Market Weakness
Bitcoin's long-term holders have significantly increased their BTC holdings in recent weeks. Over the past 30 days, they added 1.29 million BTC to their reserves, marking the largest accumulation of its kind in about six years and even surpassing the peak seen during the 2017 bull run. This notable growth occurred despite a weak market condition.
Despite short-term traders reducing their exposure, long-term holders seem to be buying up Bitcoin when prices are low, which could indicate a deeper understanding of the asset's value proposition. The increase in available supply might tighten the market and amplify price moves if demand returns.
BTC's price has also shown some resilience, rebounding by about 15% from its lows. However, the market remains uncertain about a sustained bullish trend.
