Long-Term Bitcoin Holders Boost On-Chain Activity Amid Price Rebound
CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost has observed a significant increase in on-chain activity among Bitcoin's oldest holders, according to data from Odaily. Recent daily UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) movement for BTC holder groups with holding periods of 5 to 7 years and 7 to 10 years has exceeded 5,000 BTC multiple times.
This is a notable trend, as long-term holders usually only move their Bitcoin for security reasons or to sell assets. However, Darkfost points out that there's no evidence of large amounts of funds flowing into exchanges, indicating that these long-term holders are not selling on a large scale at this time.
The activity occurred as Bitcoin retested the $60,000 level, similar to market movement seen from February to March this year. The market will continue to monitor whether this activity impacts BTC supply and demand dynamics.
