LSE Teams with Kraken Parent to Launch Tokenized UK Stocks on 24/5 Trading Venue

Share

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is partnering with Kraken's parent company, Payward, to introduce tokenized stocks that track major UK equity products on its new LSE 24 night-time trading venue. The platform will offer 24/5 market access, allowing investors to trade outside traditional market hours.

The initiative aims to improve accessibility for investors who cannot participate during regular sessions. Tokenized stocks are digital representations of traditional equities designed to move or settle onchain using blockchain infrastructure. This can enable fractional ownership and faster settlement workflows.

LSE 24 is a proposed round-the-clock trading facility that will operate Mondays through Fridays, with trading expected to run from the evening through the night window. The partnership with Payward will provide access to tokenized stocks starting in 2027.
