Luno Anchors Global Crypto Services with Bermuda License
Luno International Ltd has secured a Class F Digital Asset Business (DAB) license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), giving it a regulated foothold in the global market. This move positions Luno alongside other digitally recognized asset firms that have chosen Bermuda's specialist framework.
Bermuda has built a reputation as a friendly jurisdiction for digital assets and modern payment services, creating a special licensing system from scratch just for digital businesses. This clear legal and operational environment allows companies to scale cross-border services without the friction that comes with local licenses.
The Class F DAB license enables Luno to broaden its institutional product stack in meaningful ways, including OTC trading, global spot markets, and wallet infrastructure. The company can now offer OTC desks for major cryptocurrencies, tokenized stocks, and commodities, including support for the ZARU stablecoin issued by BlockTower.
Luno's Bermuda license is aimed at strengthening its institutional and B2B arms, crypto as a service, and global settlements. This simplifies onboarding and clarifies compliance expectations for clients moving large sums or tokenized assets across borders.
