Luno Restricts Crypto Transfers for Affected Users Ahead of Account Closures
Luno customers in certain regions have had their cryptocurrency transfer capabilities restricted. The exchange began limiting affected accounts on June 1, disabling deposits, crypto purchases, incoming transfers, recurring purchases, and pending orders.
Users could still sell assets, withdraw money to a bank, and send crypto elsewhere until the end of June 29, when the transfer window closed. Customers who missed this deadline are now left with only one option: selling their holdings and withdrawing the fiat proceeds by August 31.
Luno advises customers who have never verified a withdrawal account to contact support due to disabled deposits in some regions. Manual withdrawals after closure typically take three to five business days once required information is confirmed.
