Intuitive Machines (LUNR) stock surged as the company announced two major acquisitions that expand its deep space network. The deals, which include Goonhilly Earth Station and COMSAT, bring proven ground systems for lunar tracking, telemetry, and control, as well as US communications capacity for civil and government missions.

The expanded network will support Intuitive Machines' future lunar operations, including the IM-3 mission under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative. The company plans to use the new assets during IM-3 and Altus-1, its first lunar data relay satellite, which will expand data relay options for future lunar missions.

The acquisitions broaden Intuitive Machines' end-to-end mission support platform beyond spacecraft development and lunar delivery work. The ground communications network now represents a larger part of the company's operations, connecting flight systems with tracking, data movement, and navigation services.
