M1llionz Linked to $667K Crypto Heist via French Home Invasions
Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has uncovered a connection between a French cybercriminal and over $667,000 in cryptocurrency stolen during two violent home invasions in France. The suspect, known as M1llionz or RichMilly666 on social media, allegedly laundered the funds through various crypto exchanges.
ZachXBT's investigation found that M1llionz linked to about 7.2 Bitcoin, worth approximately $557,000 at the time of the thefts in April 2026, as well as an additional $110,000 in cryptocurrency stolen from a second victim.
The investigator used Chainflip and three KuCoin deposit addresses to track the funds, which were later converted into USDT. Tether reportedly froze 93,507.51 USDT tied to the case following ZachXBT's report. However, it remains difficult to identify individuals behind complex transactions that pass through exchanges.
The linked address was blacklisted by Tether on April 24, and ZachXBT has reported his findings to law enforcement. The investigation also suggests a wider network of cybercriminals, as M1llionz is allegedly connected to the EMPIRE Telegram channel, which advertises bank-fraud services.
Chainalysis reported over $30 million in successful 'wrench attacks' during the first half of 2026, highlighting the risks faced by crypto holders. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of blockchain investigations and the need for continued vigilance against cybercrime.
