Macro Investor Sees Bitcoin Price Boost from US Government Intervention
A macro investor has made the case that Bitcoin's consolidation won't last, citing US government actions as a reason for potential price increases. Jordi Visser argued on the Wolf of All Streets podcast that Washington's yen intervention is a tell: the government is under fiscal strain and money printing tends to follow.
Visser believes this will drive investors toward Bitcoin, which he sees as a deflationary hedge against AI-driven cost reductions. The spot ETF flows tell a mixed story, with $385M exiting Bitcoin ETFs last week despite early August inflows topping $1.1Bn.
The current price of BTC is $62,800, down -1.4% intraday but holding within a tightening band since early August. Support clusters in the $61,800, $64,500 zone are aligned with the 20- and 50-day moving averages, while deeper cycle support sits near $58,200, $59,800.
