MANTRA Chain Freezes Operations Amid Unexplained Network Incident
MANTRA Chain has halted all network operations due to an undisclosed incident that is currently under investigation. The stoppage, which began on August 21, has paused all public endpoints, validators, bridge services, and transactions within the network.
The decision to suspend operations comes just three days after the launch of MANTRA Zone, a new upgrade meant to introduce an EVM interface for greater network interoperability and functionality. MANTRA Chain's official status page announced the suspension without providing any explanation regarding the nature of the problem, fueling speculation about potential security issues or technical problems.
The incident has also coincided with Inveniam Capital Partners' planned acquisition of MANTRA Chain, which is expected to conclude in Q3 2026. As a Layer-1 blockchain primarily focused on tokenizing real-world assets, this is the first time MANTRA Chain has suspended network operations.
