MANTRA Chain Halted Amid Exploit Detection
MANTRA Chain, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on real-world asset tokenization, halted its network after detecting an exploit targeting an upstream dependency used by the chain.
The team identified the vulnerability and froze all endpoints, validators, and bridge operations as a precautionary measure. Deposits and withdrawals across affected exchanges are currently paused.
MANTRA's price plummeted to a fresh all-time low of $0.004126 before recovering somewhat. The token later rebounded to roughly $0.0046 but remained down about 9% over 24 hours, with trading volume jumping nearly 600% to $24 million as the news spread.
The halt has left traders holding MANTRA facing constrained exits, wider spreads, and the risk of price dislocation between exchanges once trading resumes.
