MANTRA Chain Halted Amid Exploit, Traders Face Liquidity Risk
MANTRA Chain, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on real-world asset tokenization, halted its network after detecting an exploit targeting an upstream dependency used by the chain.
The team identified an attacker exploiting a vulnerability in third-party infrastructure and froze all endpoints, validators, and bridge operations as a precaution. Deposits and withdrawals across affected exchanges are currently paused.
MANTRA says it has identified the vulnerability and is preparing a patched release, but the network will not resume until the fix is implemented.
The halt led to a significant decline in the MANTRA token's price, which plummeted to a fresh all-time low of $0.004126 before recovering somewhat.
