MANTRA Chain remained offline on August 21 after an attacker exploited a vulnerability in an upstream dependency, halting transactions, transfers, and staking.

The team said the halt itself did not affect user funds, but the asset impact of the attacker's activity remains unconfirmed.

A patch release v8.4.0 is being tested on DuKong before validators can coordinate a mainnet restart and restore on-chain activity.
