MARA Cuts Bitcoin Stash by Nearly 18,250 BTC Amid Diversification Efforts
MARA Holdings has significantly reduced its Bitcoin stash by nearly 18,250 BTC in just six months. As of June 30, the company's total Bitcoin holdings stood at 35,577 BTC, a decline of around 34% from 53,822 BTC at the end of 2025.
This reduction is part of MARA's new strategy to scale back lending and collateral exposure. The company has been diversifying into AI and high-performance computing infrastructure by acquiring Exaion and planning to acquire Long Ridge Energy & Power platform.
In a significant move, MARA sold 20,880 BTC for approximately $1.5 billion in Q1 of this year. The proceeds were primarily used to repurchase around $1 billion of convertible debt, strengthening its balance sheet and reducing leverage.
