MARA Holdings Inc., the company behind the NASDAQ-listed MARA ticker, is preparing to report its quarterly earnings. Analysts are split on their predictions, with a median target price of $15.00 for the next year. The company's AI data centers have been highlighted as a significant source of revenue, boasting higher returns per megawatt compared to Bitcoin mining.

According to MARA CEO Fred Thiel, the AI data centers' infrastructure costs are significantly lower than those of Bitcoin mining, ranging from $10 million to $15 million versus around $1 million. This allows for steadier long-term contracts and increased revenue potential.

The company has also launched a 280 kW landfill-methane Bitcoin mining pilot in Utah, achieving an impressive 92% uptime and power costs as low as $0.03 per kilowatt-hour. This innovation is being tested as a site-specific energy source for Bitcoin mining.
