MARA Holdings has made a significant transfer of Bitcoin to Two Prime, a firm it partially owns. The company sent 7,500 BTC worth around $480 million to Two Prime over several hours in 15 transactions of 500 BTC each. This move represents about 21% of MARA's total balance sheet holding of 36,303 BTC as of August 3.

The transfer is not the first large-scale movement of Bitcoin from MARA to Two Prime. In February, MARA moved 1,318 BTC (~$86.9 million) to Two Prime, BitGo, and Galaxy Digital. The reason for this latest transfer remains unclear.

MARA has previously allowed the sale of its balance-sheet Bitcoin under a revised 2026 treasury policy. This change in policy made it possible for MARA to sell large batches of BTC, as seen in the $1 billion convertible-note repurchase in March and the Q1 2026 results showing 20,880 BTC sold (~$1.5 billion).
