MARA, a Bitcoin miner, reported a net loss of $611.3 million in Q2 2026, despite mining 2,422 BTC, its highest quarterly output in over a year.

The company attributed the loss to the decline in the average Bitcoin price, which fell 28% compared to the same period last year.

MARA's net income had been $808.2 million in Q2 2025, but the sharp swing from profit to loss is largely due to changes in the value of its Bitcoin holdings.

The company holds 35,577 BTC valued at $2.1 billion as of June 30, making it one of the largest public Bitcoin holders.
