MARA Holdings has been busy streamlining its operations and expanding into new areas. The company sold 23,093 BTC for approximately $1.6 billion during the first half of 2026 to fund various activities.

The sale was made at an average price of $70,631, with most of the revenue coming from net investing cash flow. At this time, MARA held 35,577 BTC, including 9,270 BTC that were deployed through its digital-asset management strategy.

The company's treasury policy has shifted to allow for both purchases and sales of Bitcoin, rather than permanent accumulation. This change is evident in the fact that MARA bought 1,000 BTC from FalconX after selling a significant portion of its holdings.

MARA also secured new loans worth $600 million through Coinbase Credit and Two Prime, collateralized by 18,750 BTC. These funds can be used for general corporate purposes, including part of the cash consideration for MARA's proposed acquisition of Long Ridge Energy & Power.
