MARA, the world's largest publicly traded Bitcoin miner, has sold a significant portion of its holdings in the first half of 2026. The company disposed of about 23,093 BTC for $1.63 billion at an average price of around $70,631 per Bitcoin.

The proceeds from this sale were used by MARA to cover operational expenses, pursue growth opportunities, and meet liquidity needs. As a result, the company's balance sheet appears to be in good shape, with a total of 35,577 BTC worth approximately $2.08 billion as of June 30.

Additionally, MARA has secured $600 million in loans from Coinbase and Two Prime, collateralized by 18,750 BTC. This financing will likely contribute to the company's capital expenditures, including its recent acquisition of Long Ridge.
