MARA Unloads 23K BTC for $1.63B Amid Crypto Market Volatility

MARA, one of the world's largest publicly traded Bitcoin miners, has recently made significant moves in managing its liquidity and funding growth opportunities. According to a report by Crypto Twitter commentator @WuBlockchain, MARA sold approximately 23,093 BTC for $1.63 billion during the first half of 2026.

The sale was executed at an average price of about $70,631 per Bitcoin, demonstrating MARA's proactive management of its assets. This transaction is part of the company's ongoing strategy to adapt to market fluctuations and secure growth opportunities.

MARA still holds a substantial amount of BTC, with 35,577 units valued at approximately $2.08 billion as of June 30. Additionally, the company recently secured $600 million in loans backed by 18,750 BTC on August 4.
